It's a sports psychologist, not a general psychologist.
Maybe for the sake of the fan base? It is mentioned that a lot of players see a sports psychiatrist, so I don't see it as bad publicity or anything.

“The Olympic thing, I'm not going to make too much of,” said Penguins general manager Ray Shero, busy with Team USA and not inclined to opine on Team Canada, which invited five goalies not named Fleury to its tryout camp. “But if he takes something personal, good for him."

Why? Craig Anderson has said that seeing a sports psychologist was one of the best career moves he ever made. He's one of many that have gone to a sports psychologist at one time or another.

That doesn't sound like someone with very much patience left and I certainly don't blame him.

You'd be surprised at how many players take advantage of one.

A yet-to-be-named goalie coach will provide Fleury a new voice.

From the article:A yet-to-be-named goalie coach will provide Fleury a new voice.

IMO, that it is the real issue and perhaps seeing this psychologist can help with that.....though I'm not counting on it.
