So, Madden was interviewing David Decastro today. Started out talking about his injury and Madden asks him how close he came to returning last season. Decastro is immediately confused and befuddled and says that he played last season. Madden asks some follow up about not playing last year. Decastro says that he played in the last three games last season. Back to Pirates postgame show I go. Nice interview prep super genius.

Time for The Fan to send Double D off to Lily Land.

One of the rare times I listen to the baloney Poni and that guy's on there doing his "They can't move runners" schtick.

Hello, 5 game win streak, sweep of Miami, 9-2 homestand. But Hurdle doesn't know what he's doing because he didn't pinch hit for Pedro with someone who can bunt in the 9th today.

I was listening and Poni was making fun of the guy for saying something so outrageous. When Poni says you're negative and beyond the realm of the lunatic fringe, you know you're nuts.

I was listening. It was extremely awkward. Decastro just started laughing at him.

Poni was talking about he had personal news he was going to announce the other night. I didn't care to listen longer than I needed to, but was curious what the news was. Hoping he got moved to another time slot or station.

Anyone listening this morning around 5:40? Gianotti was tearing into Vinnie. Calling him out for not showing up to the station on time, vinnie has apparantly complained to management about him doing impressions and also something that dunlap used to do on his show. He was venting pretty heavily....like to the point where you got the impression that he just wants to get this stuff out there before one of them is gone.

Yeah Uneasy moments between Vinnie and Cook. I never actually heard one, it sounds like a funny segment but going off Dunlaps twitter he does it every night, and that sounds like something that would easy get run into the ground. Giannotti's Vinnie impressions however are great. Last year when he sang Walking in a Winter Wonderland was probably my favorite moment on that station (altho that's not saying much)

I think it's a shame that a radio personality is so readily made fun of. At least that's what it looks like from the outside looking in. I don't listen to Vinny and Cook anymore because it just became too painful. I'm not saying Vinny doesn't bring it on himself but man... you have to be doing some annoying stuff if grown adults are acting like this towards you.

Also, i heard Dunlap's segment on Vinny and Cook and it just reaffirmed how awkward that show is. Not enjoyable at all to listen to.

There was one such uneasy moment around the time Gerritt Cole was making his debut. Vinnie was saying they need a nickname for Cole. Cook completely ignored him and called it stupid.

I heard about 45 minutes of V & C today. I don't want to harp a dead topic, but wow Ron Cook is horrible to Vinnie. I just feel bad for him....

When I flipped it on at work, I heard Vinnie trying to make the point that even though the Marlins own the worst record in the NL right now, they're actually something like 9 games over .500 over the last 60 or so games. Ol' Curmudgeon's response was basically 'You're and idiot...that's a horrible team, and if you don't take 2 of 3 or sweep them you should be ashamed of yourself'. It was really, really bad. Vinnie made a decent point, and Cooke just completely berated him...shouting him down until he submitted. It was totally uncalled for...and I'd love to hear Vinnie give it back to him on occasion.

They played a call from a KDKA weekend show "ask the doctor" a caller called in about Peyronie's disease. It was pretty juvenile.

He's an actual radio professional, whereas the rest of them are hacks.
