He's an actual radio professional, whereas the rest of them are hacks.

I believe Gianotti is also a radio professional, but point taken.

They must get good ratings because the producers wouldn't put up with the hatred between those two hosts.

I can't say for sure lately, but I know in previous years ratings were absolutely abysmal. But then again, what really else is there. Unless you're on a computer to get Trib Live and ESPN 970 you pretty much need to listen to on the internet as well with their weak sauce signal. if you want local talk, until Madden comes on I guess theyre the most accessable option?

it's a ridiculously cheap format as far as radio goes, and CBS is the king of the format free commercial sweeps, so they're not as concerned with ratings as with other formats.

Yeah Bob FM. Second how can they not see how downhill The X has gone. It went from alternative, new music, to basically at this point 90's grunge/80's-90's Metallica with an occasional new song sprinkled in.

I'm not saying they shouldn't play it but they might as well create a new station genre of "modern classic rock" at this point considering the era the majority of the music they seem to play came out in.

there seems to be a direct correlation between those that listen to music on the fm radio, and those with bad taste in music.

Today Madden asked Rossi if the Kovalchuk situation gave the Penguins motivation to get something done quickly with Malkin. Rossi kindly informed him that Kovalchuk "retired" after Malkin had already signed. Madden is just getting lazy now.

People in the know might have known that Kovalchuk was going to do that. I'm sure it wasn't 100% a surpise to everyone.

Those #'s don't mean much in terms of how Sports Radio is sold. They want Men. Whether it's 18-34, 25-54, 35-64 or all demos in-between .. and The Fan is doing very well.
