DK has confirmed on his blog he will be on Olbermann's show on ESPN for a segment once a week.

The thought of Olbermann ripping him apart (let's face it, it will happen at some point with Olbermann) is exciting.

Looks like it was Scott Brown and not DK leaving the Tribes for ESPN.

The fan morning show deemed this upcoming preseason game as a "must win".

Has the term "must win" been devalued to this extent...or are these guys idiots. I'm going with the latter.

When I turned on my car this morning, the Fan Morning Show was on (from Pirate game being on while running late night errands).
The discussion: Paul Alexander getting a "silver pubes" vanity plate.
Could not move radio dial away from fast enough...

Well, if alexander brought up the idea for the vanity plate, how do you not expand on that? Can't blame Gianotti, I don't think I'd a been able to let that go.

Listening to Vinnie and Cook earlier. I love it.

Cook: I have the Pirates penciled in for a playoff spot, but I'm not sure they can win the division.
Vinnie: I wouldn't have them locked in at a playoff spot. There is still a lot of baseball.
Cook: Come on man, they are 9 1/2 up on the D-backs with 32 games left.
Vinnie: If they continue to play .500 baseball, the D-backs will catch them.
Cook: If they play .500 baseball, the D-backs would have to go 26-6 to catch them.
Vinnie: (silence).... I still wouldn't pencil them in.

Are you sure that isn't reversed?

When has Ron Cook been positive?

I caught part of his show last night on the way home from work and I noticed he's just like Madden. When somebody's talking, he breathes heavy.

In fact it might even be worse than Madden's.

No, I was amazed too. But Cook has them penciled in.

But Vinnie didn't get the concept that if the Pirates played .500, the Dbacks would have to pretty much go undefeated to catch the Buccos. He argued it for a while until I think the math clicked.

I'm calling it now. Out of the 400+ people I follow on twitter, the largest ratio of thinking he's funny to actually being funny goes to Chris Mueller

Shameless plug...

But I saw in the first half inning Mueller tweeted something like Locke got out of the jam and there was no score at PNC. Then I guess sat back and tee-hee'd as people jumped all over him. Seriously, that's the best you got Chris?

Cook and Filiponi on the morning show today is lulz-worthy. Yinz think Cook hates Vinnie.... Filiponi may not make it out of this one alive.
