Also, I'm pretty disappointed with NBC considering they boast about having every game available. They have many channels they could be using and are only televising one game in each time slot? Meh.

I have every game available to me.....DirecTV Premier League Extra Time

So NBC is really using only one NBC channel at a time for PL games but making every game available to stream? Meh, yeah, disappointed.

Tough loss for PTFC last night, but that atmosphere was amazing. I am going to the Timbers/Sounders game in Portland in October. Can't wait.

No, every game is available on TV and streaming. Your individual cable/satellite has the opportunity to air all games. T

The 7:45 am game is on NBCSN, one of the 10am games are on NBCSN, the others are on overflow channels (Directv starts at 491).

Hmm. Anyone in Pittsburgh (VZ Fios) able to pick up additional games anywhere?

It looks like Verizon was slated to offer it, but they haven't yet....

Sadly, it has become an art form, which is why the refs should be allowed to make use of video footage. I also think that when a player is caught diving in the box - in the act or after evaluating the footage - he should be fined and/or suspended.

Thought the Tottenham PK this week came from a box dive too.

I agree. Or the player is given a post-match yellow card. If he keeps getting caught he will eventually reach the ban point. But if it gets the team a win...I don't know...

It seems so obvious that players should be fined/suspended after the fact for diving (of course, FIFA has a habit of avoiding obvious ways to make the game better and less corrupt). It's often hard to spot live, so I don't blame refs, but it's also pretty clear on video review. Diving is probably the biggest complaint about the sport for causal, harccore, and non-soccer fans.

I know the goal-line technology is a big issue, but I'd much rather FIFA do something to curb the constant diving than eliminate the once-in-a-blue-moon ball that crosses the goal-line, but isn't counted.

Why not figure out how to do both? Maybe end line judges that can both see the goal and into the box fixing both issues at once?

Looks like Bale to Real is a done deal. Hristo Stoichkov doesn't like it, because, according to him, no Englishman was ever succesful in Spain. Good thing Bale is Welsh then, I guess.

Also looks like Tottenham's picking up Christian Eriksen (source here) from Ajax. Another good young player.

Not too shabby of a transfer window for Tottenham.

Poor Milan was my feeling.

No one wants to play in Glasgow, I'm tired of playing Barca every. single. year. and Ajax is filled with guys who will cost 15-25mm Euro in the coming 2 or 3 summers. Though the Bale sale resulting in Eriksen leaving for Spurs is a nice help.
