Most American hefes are just average, IMO. Penn Brewery's Weizen is pretty good.

Elliot Ness is probably one of the best draft lagers that you can find almost everywhere... best thing Cleveland has ever produced.

I'm generally not a tripel/quad fan, but i will steal from children to get a Rochefort 10. So complex and potent, but smoov. A definite treat beer for me.

That's my general prob with the bourbon barrels. I just don't care for the liquor flavor in my stout.
