WSU ties USC at 7 right before half on a pick 6. How has anyone hired Lane Kiffin for any paying position?

Are you sure it is Clems-on? Since it is named after a guy named Clemson. I always thought it was Clems-en.

columbia has it right. However, diehards actually throw a "p" in there - Clempson. I'm an alum, so I've heard that a lot.

The lack of discussion on this here is surprising to me:

http://www.examiner.com/article/osu-all ... ock-to-osu

OSU allegations have many fans and former students of Oklahoma State University shocked this week at rumors of football players getting sexual favors, having grades changed, and being paid as recruits, KJRH News reports this Tuesday, Sept. 10. The official investigation, called “The Dirty Game,” is part of a series across Sports Illustrated media platforms that are accusing serious misconduct in OSU’s football program.

Unless the discussion is the NCAA is a scam and the major universities complicit in completely selling out their original mission for dollars and success on the field, not sure what there is to discuss.

The closing paragraph on the SI piece:

At Oklahoma State the bonus system, the booster and coach payouts, and the bogus jobs provided players with money that was seldom spent on extravagances. One or two standouts bought a new car or expensive jewelry, team members say, but the vast majority of the players used the extra cash to purchase everyday items -- food, clothing, tickets to a movie. "There were some athletes who were almost starving," says Carter. "Wherever the money came from, they were like, Yeah, I'll take that."

MR25, I assume your primary angle here is a wish to see OSU punished more heavily than the tOSU, since that's pretty much the only thing that any Buckeye says about the NCAA these days.

No. I'm just surprised no one pointed it out.

They're pretty serious allegations. Changing grades? That's some pretty heavy stuff that goes beyond NCAA regulations.

Changing grades, tests never taken, grading easier, taking lesser versions of the same tests. This stuff happens all the time. They'll catch a stiff scholarship reduction after a year plus of ham-handed investigation.

This but if allegations are true the school deserves harsh punishment. But like UNC they'll get a slap on the wrist.

Apparently running a University-sanctioned brothel isn't as looked down upon as I once thought. Huh.

Under Les Miles, membership in Orange Pride, the football program's hostess group, tripled at the organization became a key recruiting tool. Players say that a small number of women in the group had sex with recruits. Says Artrell Woods, a Cowboys wide receiver from 2006 to '08, "The idea was to get [recruits] to think if they came [to OSU] it was going to be like that all the time, with all these girls wanting to have sex with you."

Jason Whitlock has a lot to say about this...I find his tirade about the "investigators" more interesting than the investigation. Some of the stuff is probably true, some of it exaggerated, but none of it is "new."

I believe I read somewhere that Les Miles was personally in charge of "interviewing" girls for these positions...I really wonder how those went.

Word of advice to OkSt: take everything PSU did regarding their interactions with the NCAA, and do the exact opposite.
