Velasco, according to some advanced stats, was better than Pouncey last year.

I know, he didn't have Colon and Foster as his guards, but still.

Tennessee drafted a center, who they considered to be "meaner". Also, money.

We started seeing it last year, but these crappy drafts that the Steelers are having are taking a pretty big toll on this team. 5-10 years ago, if a starter went down, they just plugged the next guy in and they didnt miss a beat. Nowadays, if a starter goes down, its Armageddon.

It helped that the starter going down was usually Colon (who was garbage) or Aaron Smith (who was hurt so often everyone was used to it). The defense would usually drop off when Troy was out.

I think Tomlin has done a good job coaching overall. I wish his game management would've gotten better over time. But I think its easy to argue we haven't drafted as well since he got here.

I often wonder why Reed never got a few more chances in the NFL. He had 1 bad season with the Steelers and apparently wasn't one of "Tomlins Boys" but was still a great kicker. I'd rather him be here than Shane Graham.

I kind of feel bad for Jeff Reed...it's obvious that he wants back in the league badly. Outside of the arrest stuff, he seems like a really good dude that does a lot of charity stuff, etc. Good luck to him.

Reed was bad in his last year with the Steelers. And earned a reputation as a d-bag, IIRC.

As much as I liked Reed when he was here and was even willing to look back some of the d-bagginess, video clips of 36 and 41 yards that were probably shot with multiple takes aren't exactly impressing me.

That joke stopped being funny about 2009. The second or third time it was told.

I have a picture of myself in my Reed #3 jersey with said dispenser. Good times to be had by all in New Alexandria.

Dan Ronney should walk into his office, say "Spoiler alert, you don't need to waste your time house hunting", and walk back out of the room.
