Rutgers #69...giggity. "admissions are considered selective" ...can't be too selective based on some of my former classmates...

Pretty sure our enrollment is higher than 43k, unless they're only counting undergrad.

That's all they counted for Rutgers to the best of my knowledge...

These are undergrad rankings, so yes, grad students excluded.

I believe it is undergrad enrollment at the main campus only.

Providence College, #2 Regional University (North)

That's great for my resume. Still In no way worth $41k.

Not as good is Grove City circling the toilet on these lists. #141 liberal arts college with an 84% acceptance rate? Blech. Turn some of those Goody Two Shoes away. Back when I was in school you had to sweat it out to get into Grove City.

Yes, I cry into my Cheerios every morning knowing that the US News and World Report's arbitrary algorithm for determining college rankings placed PSU so low. Only 25 spots above Pitt? What did I pay all of this money for? Ugh.

My school is below PSU so whatever. It still doesn't change the degree of silliness in that thread.

I feel like after around #20 or #25, the next 50 or so are pretty much interchangeable (and it appears the rankings agree, as the majority of schools beyond there are in 5-way ties for whatever their ranking is).

Are you trying to troll every Pitt undergrad student (past/present) on here?
(BTW, that doesn't include me.)

That's funny because I would argue the opposite--the first ten/fifteen or so schools are probably interchangeable in terms of the quality of services they provide. Everything below that is really heterogeneous and difficult to compare directly.

My alma mater (Juniata College) cracked the Top 100 at #100. Awesome small, private school in the sleepy town of Huntingdon, PA.

Is that more of a central PA student body?
When I visited Allegheny College - which I perceive to be similar - in HS it seemed like most of the students were from western PA/eastern OH.
