and perfect in the sense that there will be ample room to tailgate, because no one will be at that game.

Bought 3 tickets in sec 133 Row B for around 50$ total off of Stubhub for the game on Saturday. At least I can yell at someone if they screw up since I'm right behind the Pitt sideline haha.

You could hang around after the game and go see QOTSA at Stage AE.

This team probably would win the big east. Too bad they'll suck in ACC

Boyd may be the best player on the team

Conner looks legit, savage is huge upgrade

I'm not convinced Pitt would ever have won the Big East. They always found a way to lose those one or two games that mattered.

Well that was a fun game to be at. Boyd is unreal. Savage still made some dumb decisions, but for the most part Pitt played the part of FSU in this game .... New Mexico was just overmatched.

Boyd is amazing. What a talent. That catch at the end of the first half was beautiful.

Boyd is a stud. Save for Savages first throw, he looked pretty good.

Perhaps he should have thought of that before joining the evil empire. Though I can't really blame a kid for wanting to play at Bama.

The likelihood of him playing at Bama seems to be fading at this point. He's like ninth on the depth chart mainly behind sophmores and redshirt freshmen. Bama has two 4 star WRs coming in next season and is on the short list for 3 more of the top 10 receivers in the nation. Foster has another season (two if he is lucky) to prove his worth before his scholarship disappears.

At Pitt he'd be starting and would be headed to the NFL in three years.

So two roster notes from yesterday:

- Dorian Johnson's redshirt was burned.

- Todd Thomas started, led the team in tackles, and looked like the NFL talent he is. But where was Bam Bradley? He started against FSU but didn't play a single snap yesterday. He shouldn't be starting over Thomas, but anyone should be an improvement over Anthony Gonzalez.

Do we want Robert Foster? Obviously is a great talent, but seems like he'd be more of a distraction like Shell. Or maybe he'd be focused and turn out great. Sure would make a heck of a WR corps.

the key thing is that boyd isnt the only freshman getting a lot of playing time. johnson is going to see a lot of time, ordnoff has played frequently. jaymar parrish is in the lineup just as often at fullback. webb is the nickel back. galambos gets some time at linebacker. recruits notice this stuff, and chryst isnt going to waste time on upperclassmen that wont produce. hell, there are probably too few upperclassmen that can actually produce anyway. but the point is, recruits are going to see that and say, hey, that can be me.

on another note, kenny the kangaroo has decided that tom savage is the pedro alvarez of pitt football. tremendous talents, tremendous flaws. his interceptions have been just craptastic. on the other hand, everyone has talked about how great boyd's td catch was, and it was indeed great. but savage threw that ball on the run 45 yards to the back of the endzone. there are probably like 5 guys in the ncaa that can make that throw.

I'm still willing to chalk Savage's issues to rust and needing to adjust to the speed of the game, but I'm hopelessly optimistic when it comes to Pitt football (I know, I'm insane). The first interception Saturday was incredibly Simple Jack on his part, but I'll absolve him from blame on the 2nd one.

there were literally 4 defenders that could have picked off that first pass.

Well lucky for him that he only threw one ball. Savage has had trouble going through his progression. 95% of the time its been first option, coverage be damned.

I am in the camp that Savage still has some rust to shake off. Heck, this was only his second game since 2010.

Really looking forward to that rematch vs FSU in the ACC Championship Game :pop:
