Since when has his nickname been Pasqual?

Since I decided to call him by the Catalan version of his name. You do realize this is a message board and not a tax filing site, right?

i'm not all that upset about this. I'd almost rather him not be here to allow some younger guys to come up and play.

He'd make this team better. But this is the silver lining.

Adams could really use some more ice time to develop his scoring touch.

I'm not saying I necessarily want him back, but if I had to choose between him at $1.5 and Glass at $1.1 I'll take Morrow 9.9 times out of 10.

You do realize that Glass has worked on his Grit level in the off season? By definition, he's made up of sand particles... the dude is SANDPAPER. Or this signing was simply a mistake... HCDB told GMRS to get him so grit, so he signed Glass.

Sandpaper.... get to know it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandpaper

Trading Niskanen, demoting Glass (costing us only 175K in dead money) would have freed sufficient space to offer Morrow this contract. There is still enough space (barely) to fit Zatkoff onto the roster until Vokoun qualifies for LTIR, which then frees up even more space.

I don't think people get that even if Shero had $4 million in cap space Morrow was not coming back.

Perhaps, Morrow didn't want to come back:

Brenden Morrow said he enjoyed being part of #penguins & their style of play but ... "this is more, I guess, tailored to the way I play."

Basically, his legs don't mesh with Bylsma's up-tempo system - just like Iginla looking like he was 100 years old on the ice.

Yeah, Dan likes to chase the puck all over the ice. Iginla and Morrow will go to teams that park themselves in front of the net, and they'll both have solid seasons. :?

Rather have:
Morrow 1.5
Sill .55
Zolnierczyk .55
Total 2.6

Than
Glass 1.1
Adams .7
Jeffrey .625
Total 2.425

I recall reading at the end of last season that Morrow would not be coming back, and the way it was written it seemed to insinuate that it was because he didn't want to come back. I think Morrow realized he doesn't fit in on a team built on speed.

Yeah, the Islanders proved that. But in general, I think the east has faster teams than the west, which is what Morrow was used to.

I was just messing. I got what you were saying. Not so sure the west is slower but definitely more of a structure when they are attacking, different style than the pens that's for sure and For Morrow.
