If Vokoun is out until March, who is to say he'll be capable of stepping in and playing at a playoff level? I'm not necessarily worried about the regular season (aside from a potential injury to Fleury, of course), but if he's out long-term, an external backup or potential platoon goaltender is a necessity. I hate to say it, but Bryzgalov should be discussed in addition to Hedberg, Theodore, and possibly (as stupid as this sounds) DiPietro. My choice would come down to Hedberg and Theodore, but I certainly wouldn't rule out Bryzgalov, who could be a strikeout/home run signing on the cheap, given that he's being paid $1.6+ million per year by the Flyers.
