Pens Predication Poll

Postby Penspal on Wed Sep 25, 2013 3:47 pm

The new season is almost upon us. After reading so much "crazytalk", I've decided to join in with a silly poll. Pick one event that you feel will happen first, and I will award you with a prize of some kind, tbd. Bring out your Pens Crystal Ball!!!! Good Luck

I opted for the least crazy, J-Z getting his first NHL shutout.

30 points for the team seems like an easy layup. It would be interesting if that option was removed though.

Yeah, I was stuck between a Zatkoff shutout and 30 points.

The Zatkoff shutout is most likely, IMO. It will happen early, to get the Fleury haters all going. Zaktoff is going to be the next starter in Pittsburgh.

The worst thing for Pens fans would be Zatkoff pulling a "Fleury" and pitching a shutout until there's like 5 minutes left in a 4-0 game.

I'm going to go off on my own and take the Crosby no points in 5 straight games. I doubt he has even had that long of a stretch in his career but he's a slow starter so I'll go with it for lawls.

30pts seems like the most likely option, although I wouldn't mind JayZ posting a shutout.

I see Neal coming out of the gate all gang-busters. 20 pts in first 15 games is certainly achievable for him this year.

20pts maybe. 20 goals, not likely.

More likely than 10 wins in 15? I think not

Wait, don't confuse me. Teams still get two points for a win, right?

Where's the "Jokinen scores 10 goals" option?

That's one way of looking at it, and in Neal's case, might get him on the roster if he pop's 20.

When placed in that context, I would guess that there is a 0% chance that RS fires his Olympic coach prior to the Winter Games.

I don't really see the Pens, as a team, struggling to the point where firing the coach in the middle of the season is necessary, but you never know what's going to happen with Fleury and how that'll affect how the team plays.

I have a feeling that they could start slow. If thats the case HCDB should be on the chopping block.

They started out slow last year, and everyone called for Bylsma's firing. Then they won 14 in a row.

Point being, I think it's going to take a little more than a slow start for the ball to get rolling on a Bylsma firing.

There's literally no reason to fire DB during the regular season... pens are a great regular season team

DB should have been fired in April 2012
