Orpik plays pretty well for a guy that is hungover.

I don't know if Crosby has reached 2010-2011 level yet but he is getting close.

Yes, he's a special kid. I've been and continue to be a big Despres fan and was bummed he wasn't joining the team but Maata certainly deserves to be here. (Also I heard Despres may have come to camp out of shape .If true that is very disappointing.)

The rumor of being out of shape was shot down in a ton of articles and twitter posts. He was sick, and still he insisted on being out there during the skates, hence the reason he was lagging behind.

Thanks for the info, that makes me feel better :)

Did Niskanen just outmuscle someone at the blue line? Woah.

It's a good thing Luongo is in the other net to take focus off of Fleury's misplay :pop:

Malkin is a joke. What is wrong with him? Just a horrible, horrible pass there. Elite players don't panic and make that pass.

I like it that Nisky shoots the puck pretty often on the PP.

He's experiencing what is known as the Scuderi Effect. Just imagine what Letang will do when he returns.

I'll say it again, they should try separating Sid and Geno.

And get Geno a sports shrink. My god.

I always liked david booth as a player; shame about his injuries.

Outshot 15-5 and heading to intermission tied at 1. I'll take it!

How does a team with this much firepower completely fizzle on the powerplay?

I thought that was a good period of hockey. Definitely a good test for the Penguins.

I'd say perhaps 60-40 Canucks as far as zone time.

We're getting some good looks, I think it'll balance out. They really only have the one top heavy line that's a big threat.

They're not a bad team though.

Geno needs defensemen that like to move around. Nisky and Martin are good defensemen on the PP but they're more traditional. It think it's why power play looks so dramatically better when Letang gets back from injuries.

That was a pretty fun period to watch. Good flow, not a lot of whistles. Need to be better on the PP though.
