Some people were expecting a major death last night, and while a major "character" didn't die, the loss of the clubhouse and the shop is a pretty significant loss to the Son's family.

this is true - different "major change" than expected.

That could entail any number of different arcs, from DHS coming in, to selling out the Irish to save themselves, or off to Belfast for retribution

Think of all the SOA stuff that was inside the clubhouse.

Jax's dad's bike
The Table
etc....

I've been relatively disappointed with this season so far. Maybe the ending of this episode sets up a good final few shows. I don't get why they're stretching the shows to 75 or 90 minutes every week though. It would be better to pack things in to an hour. I mean, really, what was the point of the Clay/Gemma thing? Things like that make me think Sutter is doing it just to say how edgy the show is.

I am kind of getting tired of the long episodes... that was a trend that seemed to start last season and now every episode is 90 minutes it seems. The main thing I hate about that is that it means losing a half hour of sleep if I want to watch the episode live. Also, if the episodes were shorter, they could cut out crap like the guardianship. I keep hoping it will lead to something other than painful breaks from the main story line, but so far, no dice.

I had said earlier that I could see something crazy happening like Gemma dying soon, but the more I think about it, I think she will be in it for the long haul. If I remember correctly, Jax doesn't know the extent of her involvement in his father's death (which is why she had those letters destroyed a few seasons back because they hinted at JT's thoughts that she wanted him dead). IMO, one of the major things that will happen as this show culminates will be Jax finding out about Gemma's involvement in his father's death and the fallout from that.

Switching gears a little bit to Clay...We all know that Clay never wanted to get out of guns, but did they ever explain why (I don't remember this being explained)? Every since Clay got booted from the club, went to jail, etc, he has become a pretty sad character (a far fall from the Clay Morrow of the earlier seasons). Perhaps Clay never wanted out of guns because he knew that it would be suicide for the club because of the power of the IRA. As much as I used to hate Clay, I feel sorry for the character now, and it seems to me that Sutter is setting him up to be this total sympathetic character at the end (lost his club, his wife, his "son", all while he was looking out for the best interest of SAMCRO).

I'm assuming they're drawing this out for drama purposes, but Turic's been dead for awhile now and no one has found the murder scene in his motel room? I highly doubt that he was able to make that all "just go away"...

That might have been the best episode ever imo. Happy to see Bobby back and no way Tara or Wendy makes it through the season. Jemma will be responsible either way. Is Tara really pregnant?? My brother says she is faking to get out of charming. Did that really go over my head?

that episode was about 3/4 good, then it trailed off late. But the 3/4 that was good was about the best they've had in a while.

I was dying when Tig said "I've seen Smokey and the Bandit a thousand times. Love that movie." What a great line.

Leads me to believe next episode is huge.

When DNA comes back it will clear Nero. They are trying to play it like they can ride him to turn on the Sons but as long as he waits he will be fine.

The IRA stuff is "figured out" for now.

The only thing that didnt get solved is Tara's situation which only got worse.

I don't hate the DA. Actually, I like her. She's "the good guy" in this story. All she wants is justice and she's not breaking any laws to get it so far.

Will it be a huge night or a develop the storyline night?

You never know with Sons.

As far as the DA, yeah she's wants justice, but she's also coming hard at Nero when everything points to him being clean in this murder. And with her pulling off the wig last episode, I having a feeling it's about to get real up in here.

But you had to see it coming when she was randomly drawing her own blood at the beginning of the episode.

The car chase with Adrienne Barbeau was a little silly with her outrunning the boys with a mini-van but it led to a better scene in the photo studio.
