I'm still just shocked an organization would accept taking the good with the bad for as much as he got re-signed for.

At this point, it's about 50/50 good/bad.

It shouldn't be. Not for a guy this talented and making that much $$$

He's "only" making 3.5 this season. Next season he gets his 7.25.

He has missed a good chunk of games this season... It will not be 50/50 by mid season. But you will still have that "smash the tv" moment every once in a while.

I'm referring to his upcoming contract.

He can't be making that kind of money and having that high of a cap hit if he continues to play like this.

Every other defenseman has improved in some way, shape, or form. The "he missed games" excuse shouldn't fly. He's had more than enough time to acclimate himself.

He's continuing right where he left off in last year's playoffs. This is not a slump. It's a continuation of a trend.

Announcers digging Megna. I mentioned DJ having gotten a chance with Malkin and doing nothing. I forgot all about Chuck Kobasew already this year. He looked good on the 3rd line but did nothing with Malkin's line.

Just to clarify, Malkin had a rotating door on his LW last year, but I'm not sure Jeffrey ever got a look there. Maybe for 1 game. He did fill in for Malkin when 71 was out though, and has done next to nothing since recovering from his injury.

PP with 2 goals plus Malkin's chance and Crosby off the post. Probably other chances I'm forgetting. These exhibition games are good to get back in a rhythym.

Serious or sarcasm? 18 minutes is good icetime. He has nothing to gain in London.

Nisky with the scrap, didn't realize he could throw 'em like that. He's been excellent this season, far better than Letang at both ends AND on the power play. With all kinds of depth on defense (even with Scuds out), and forwards dropping like flies (now Glass appears to have been hurt), it would make sense to trade a "D" for some youthful, talented forwards. Up until the past few weeks, I was convinced that Nisky was the one who should be traded, but now I'm not so sure. They need to do something, though. I like Megna, but if Glass goes down for any length of time, it could be problematic. They're basically a one line team plus Malkin right now as it is :?
