Evil genius Lou probably has a time machine. Never doubt Lou.

Brodeur scores on the other team's net rather than his own in the playoffs.

I can think of a certain penguins head coach that hasn't forgotten that.

if you'd rather have brodeur in 2013-2014 than fleury in 2013-2014, you're nuts.

This isn't a matter of rather. This is a matter of Brodeur as a backup.

What if someone told you in 1999 that Brodeur would finish his career in Pittsburgh and Jagr would finish his career in New Jersey? I know it's a different time and circumstance now, but it would be so odd to comprehend that...

$4.5 million for a back-up goalie doesn't seem like good business practice, especially since he won't really command much (read: cap hit going back) in a trade.

I know TIOPS isn't liked here, but they are saying the Pen's are scouting Ryan Miller heavily. They would probably want Fleury back. Maybe include Orpik(hometown) if they throw in Foligno or Ott. Although they just got him, Moulson is unrestricted at the end of the year and might be had for a decent package. Would love to see him here. At least he would stand in front of the net, something we desperately need.

Yeah, all the players that Pittsburgh fans have heard of on Buffalo for all the players that kind of, sort of, almost make sense to go back in such a trade. Sounds pretty on point.
The reason why "we" are scouting Ryan Miller is because we have the AGM and HC of the USA Olympic team running the show here.

Nobody calls me a fizzle and gets away with it!
Except for that one guy who called me a fizzle and ran away, that guy got away with it.

From the Pens standpoint you do, but Anaheim would have wanted and ended up eventually getting much more. They got one of the best young players in the game in Silfverberg, Noesen(no.1 pick in 2011) and a future no. 1. That would be like the Pens having to send Bennett, Matta and a 1st pick.

Dineen fired in Florida. Carcass picking commence.
Upshall? Fleischman? Kopecky? Versteeg? Boyes?
Boyes has played well everywhere he's gone the past few years. But not really what the Pens need (though the price is nice). Kopecky is mildly interesting. He had a great year last year. He's a bigger guy who plays with a lot of intensity. But hasn't scored a single point this season...
I'd really love to get Nick Bjugstad. He's one of FLA's young guys, but not in the core necessarily. Guy's a monster. Would groom him to be a baobab in front of the net.
Looks like Tallon's looking for vets who can provide "leadership" and "work-ethic"...
