Typical 2013-2014 Penguins. Get to your game early with no results. Let in a goal late in the first. Play moron in the second and first 15ish minutes in the third. Lose.

God forbid Bylsma ever attempts to get Sid away from a shutdown center and tries to get a better matchup for him. Home team gets the last change Disco!

I think that they should all go to the eye doctor tomorrow How many good chances shot high, wide and when they do get it on the net, it is always right at the middle of the goalie's chest. Really pathetic effort. I think they need a seeing eye dog

Agreed. Gotta spark Malkin.

But Crosby likes his line mates. Bylsma wouldn't want to upset him.

Looks to me like they're trying to overcompensate for Scuderi not being there by being way too passive offensively. This isn't the same team from the first few weeks of the season.

Scuder not being there shouldn't cause Side to miss three easy goals and Latang another 2.

Look i get we beat Boston and Vancouver, but Vancouver was in casual-fan gimmick so really a tie.

Other wins: Jersey, Buffalo, Carolina, Tampa, Edmonton, Philadelphia, Carolina, Columbus, Columbus

Not much to write home about.

But being passive offensively does. Passive offense = less chances created

They had plenty of chances and really didn't give the Flyers many. They just can't finish. I still can't believe Letang missed the net twice and Neal once on their third power play in the second period. Emery wasn't even looking at Letang let alone over there to make the save. The effort was there, the chances were there, they just can't finish. This game shouldn't have been close and scoring chance wise it wasn't. Pens probably had 20 more scoring chances than the Flyers. I don't think it has anything to do with Scuderi being gone and being passive offensively. They just aren't bearing down and finishing plays.

Not a fan of D'agostini either. He's anther example of a player that isn't talented enough to play on a scoring line or gritty enough to play on the bottom two lines....

Scuderi is missed terribly. At least to me he is...

Good lord i really hope they didn't decide to be more passive offensively because of an injured defenseman.

Looks more to me like a team unwilling to cycle the puck and trying to do everything off the rush. Other teams recognizing that and forcing bad angle shots into an unimpeded goalie. Team not adjusting.

It's going to be a real test Friday night to make Carter Hutton or Marek Mazanec look like Jacques Plante but the Pens just might be up to it.

The offense is the same except Crosby isn't scoring. Everyone else on the team has been consistent all year. I don't really put any stock into the Adams/glass early season goal explosion either.

What does Scuderi have to do with losing 2-1 I know some people want a shutout every night but seriously, you miss Scuds. C'mon Man
