Is anyone even arguing that he is a great coach? Defending him does not equal saying he is a great coach.

i don't really like bylsma, but if you're going on a message board to find out why a guy is a good coach, and expect to hear something more nuanced than, "he won a cup and a jack adams, and was selected to coach in the olympics", you're barking up the wrong tree.

He has a nice smile and is kind to the fans who are the cheering for his team and he tries good.

I'm not making a point. I'm interpreting that people that argue that he should keep his job think that he is great. The reason that I interpret that his was is simply: If they don't think he's great, why would they have this much patience with him?

Fair enough. Along with that comes an indifference towards legacy for certain players and the team in general. I don't respect that.
