I don't really understand the Jackie Robinson comment, but 21 is already retired with the Pens.

Exactly, makes no sense.. Equating the retiring of baseballs Jackie Robinsons number by hockey to someone putting a dead baseball players name and number on a hockey jersey. Neither makes sense..

Jarkko, I am of the mind that EVERY team should have a Ron Duguay jersey in the rafters. That man is an institution. "Doogs" is a nickname from H.S. given to me as a tribute to the man. It was a great day, in my opinion, for Pittsburgh Hockey when that guy graced us with his name and flowing hair in a Pens jersey!!!

You're joking, right?

In the 80's fans used to yell "Take your dress off, Duguay" because of his inability or willingness to hit (anything!).

I saw a guy at game one with his name on a 21 penguins jersey.

I was at game 7 in DC and saw a Caps fan with a 28 jersey and he had Jiz on the nameplate.

His teammates used to call him Jiz.

Not sure if that's something I'd want on a jersey though.

If people want to spend their money on stupid jerseys, it's their prerogative.

I have finally seen this first hand for myself. could not get camera on phone to work quick enough. Walking out of a local bar after watching the Rangers torch the caps, Dude walks right by with the #28 Semin Jersey, and yes it say: 28 MAN JUICE

Why would anyone wear this in public? Did he forget to wash his "LEMIEUX 6" jersey?

Yeah, I don't get all the fuss. You can put 87 on anything you want but unless Crosby's actually inside it it's not authentic. I don't care.

At the Ducks game, saw a man in Latest winter classic jersey # 21 with his own last name on it. Briere must be turning over, had to be too young to have heard or watched him play.

Or he used to wear 21 when he played. So he got his number, with his last name, on his favorite style jersey... :pop:
