I find Virtue and Moir smug and annoying.

I thought White-Davis deserved the win overall. The first Russia pair had the most dazzling long form today, though.

They had the most impressive lifts -- but they didn't touch Davis/White in terms of both intricacy of their footwork and the speed of which they pulled it off. Like the commentors said, they (the Russians) had more distance between them than the other pairs throughout much of the program, which makes it easier when you're doing those synchronized footwork dance moves.

The guy that won gold in aerials laid down a sick jump.

One of my favorite things about the Olympics is all the cuties. Speaking of which, goalies for Swiss, Sweeden, Finland, Germany and Canada, smokin.

That was referring to the second Russian pair, and I agree with that. It was the first pair, who I don't think were the top Russia pair.

Virture and Moir complaining about their coach, who also coaches Davis and White.

http://www.nbcolympics.com/news/virtue-and-moir-question-commitment-coach-they-share-white-and-davis

I wonder if they complained in 2010, when they won the Olympics and Worlds?

Canadians are whiners...

a) I think it would extremely difficult to share a coach with your closest competition. In fact I think it's rather nuts.

b) Maybe that's who Virtue reminds me of. I kept watching her last night thinking she was somebody's twin.

I don;t think sending an "All-star" team would be bad. Nothing gets more people interested than when your country wins on a grand stage. Putting together what should be a better team would have zero effect on the communal nature of amatuer and club curling.

Wow, from FSN Pittsburgh to Olympic curling!

It's nice that NBC decided to show something other than ballet.
