Tomb Raider was one of the best games of 2013. No doubt.

I posted this in TGToR, but wanted to make people aware. Maybe it's nothing new, but it is to me. In Columbus there is a barcade with great beer and bourbon menus and a bunch of arcade games (all free):

I would say so yes. That's what some people didn't like, but I didn't mind it. It feels like an Uncharted game with Lara as the lead, it plays very similar to those games. Still had a blast playing it, but if you are looking for old school Tomb Raider with lots of puzzles and tombs and the like... yeah not so much.

I just pre-ordered Titanfall through Origin Mexico, with the season pass for $46. If ordered via U.S. Origin, it would've been $85 (note: I wouldn't have ordered the season pass yet) I used the Hola extension for Chrome, and disabled it when I got to the Paypal payment page.

Preload it for launch Tuesday...

Lol explain this wizardry in more detail please. I haven't ordered this game yet because I'm not paying $60 lol. How much is the game without the season pass from mexico?

$499 pesos...like $37-38 after the exchange.

Add the Hola Better Internet unblocker extension in either Chrome or Firefox. It can also be used to watch Netflix from different countries and so on. Very useful. https://hola.org/

Then go to origin.com and enable the Hola extension to VPN from Mexico. You know you have been successful if your page is en Espanol. Add it to your cart, sign in, and switch your payment method to Paypal (although I'm assuming a credit card would work too), click check out...and it will load your Paypal payment page. Turn off Hola, login to Paypal and pay EA. You'll get e-mails and whatnot in Spanish (but Chrome will translate them for you in Gmail), confirming the purchase and preload info and you should be good to go. It's already in my Origin "My Games" section, ready to preload. To my knowledge, the game will be in English or whatever your Origin account is setup for.

I was just informed that the Hola unblocker is actually malware that injects ads into your browsing. So be careful. I'll probably search around for a different VPN.

Interesting. I use Adblock Plus, so I haven't noticed anything...yet.

Edit: They tried an ad version, but discontinued it: http://lifehacker.com/im-the-founder-of ... 1507178474

So the kids asked me to hook up the ol' Sega Genesis. I bought it in college, a few years after it was out to play NHL 95. I have 95, 96, and NBA Live 96 (with Dennis Rodman and his ever changing hair color and no Michael Jordan). First of all, it looks like crap on our low end 24" LCD HDTV that I have in the game room/office. Second of all, is it sad I still know the rosters on those NHL games almost by heart?

Any other games I should look into getting for it? I've got an eBay bid for Gunstar Heroes and may look into Battletoads (which I have for the NES emulator).

NFL Football 94 Featuring Joe Montana

And you can't forget NBA Jam Tournament Edition. No Sega collection is complete without NBA Jam.

To a lesser extent, Street Fighter II: Championship Edition is a good one as well.

Mortal Kombat II. It's pretty tame by todays standards but was iconic on that platform.

If not, then the Sonic games are always fun for everyone.

If you want something for the kids specifically, Ecco the Dolphin.

General chaos still holds up well. Madden 96 is still my favorite nfl game. I also love skitchin. I actually have my sega and games out with my movies and 360 games in the living room. Ill check in a bit.

Edit: not sure how i forgot the streets of rage games. 3 is my favorite.

Haha, mutant league hockey was some good times. I basically just tried to win games by destroying enough people on the other team so they had to forfeit. The names were pretty good too...Mario LePuke or something?

The NHL rosters in those old games were great. I always played with full line changes so I could use and get to know everyone. Good times. I recommend Desert Strike(and the sequels if you like). Combat helicopter game set in the gulf war.

A Sega Genesis without RBI Baseball 4 isn't a Sega Genesis at all.
