Columbus and the CAPS! Babcock is too good of a coach no matter who is on his roster.

By "play" you mean "defeat in soul-sucking, spirit-crushing fashion."

Not to me it wouldn't...while still a very slight possibility for the first round, the most likely way that series happens is if it's in the eastern conference finals...and with the pens watching from their couches at home.

Bad luck for the Pens. Reward for finishing 2nd overall is drawing a fully healthy (for the first time all yr) Red Wings squad.

Kind of an odd draw that the first year of the realignment the Pens will likely face the team they played in the SCF the last two appearances.

Detroit
Philly
Boston

It's very possible we'd have to go through all three of them to make the finals. Fuuuuuuun.

This is a bad situation. Not only are they getting healthy, but now they have uncovered a real stud in Nyquist. Tatar and Jurco are also youngsters who can help.

Helm has been amazing since his return. Abdelkader is back and a real pest. Franzen, Zetterberg and Datsyuk added to this lineup would make them a real threat. The only good news is their D and goaltending are far from dominant.

They are a much deeper team up front than the Pens, even if we are healthy.

Maybe I'll watch CBJ for the rest of the year. At least they're playing meaningful non-zombie hockey. :P

It'd be interesting if Philly lost out and not make the playoffs. It will be a sweet conversation between the NBC bozos.
