Also feel free to provide one on Ebbett since I'm still not sure why he's allegedly a pro hockey player.
An undrafted forward with considerable size, Adam Payerl is a forward who is known for his willingness to hit, and hit often. He possesses a long reach and strong frame which he can use to effectively protect the puck along the boards and in the corners. Given his limited offensive abilities, Payerl seems destined for a fourth-line role, where he can play hard on the forecheck, create energy, and be used in defensive roles.

Sounds like Tangradi to me. At least the part about "limited offensive skill" and "considerable size".

Yeah, but the not the willingness to hit and using his strong frame.

mikey287 wrote:I was talking to Belleville's GM/Head Coach George Burnett earlier today and brought up Payerl because I wasn't terribly familar with him as I said...he was naturally excited for him and gave me a long list of what he can do...basically, he said he's a very good skater that plays hard along the wall, he's learning to do all the little things well (board play, defense, he's getting really good at faceoffs)...he has played PK, he's not much of a power play player...he's a good character guy he says that he is tremendous physical specimen and can easily be double-shifted on long road weekends without a problem...physical guy, stands up for his teammates but said he's not gonna make the pros as a fighter...he can play center or wing and even dressed at D for a third of the season last year due to injury (though he said, "he's definitely not going pro on the blueline") - but he did volunteer to step in because of injury and it shows you the kind of guy he is...
So, look, for those of you know hockey - especially junior hockey - you know the GM/Head Coach of a team isn't going to say one iota of dirt about one of his overage players...but that's the optimistic side of his game. He said he had a really good camp in Columbus and got in some preseason games there, and he's not gonna light the world on fire and score 40 goals in the American League anytime soon but he can be a valuable depth guy...
So until I get the other side of the story or see it for myself...that's the low down on this kid for now...
