That last sentence should probably be added to every response to him.

Yeah, I read that response at work on my lunch break and just X'ed out of it and went back to work early...I was so confused, really, above all, that I just decided to go back to work to not have to think about it...it seemed so out of place and if it didn't mention Brian Rafalski specifically, I'd swear it was in the wrong thread...

I didn't want to start a whole new thread for this, but wanted to check to see if anyone saw the fight Pouliot was in last night. Although he won the fight 'hands down' against the person he was actually fighting, he's lucky Hodges cheapshot didn't concuss him severely. I hope that POS gets suspended for a long time. Absolutely dangerous and uncalled for.

16 points in 9 games so far. Leads WHL D-men in playoffs scoring.

Looks to me like he just wanted to free himself and really wasn't interested in throwing any punches. Then he takes that cheap-shot and had enough. Probably wanted to free himself so he could go after that other guy and that was the only way to do it. :P

I'm sorry, I'm to the point where that kind of thing should mean you are out of hockey for good. It'll end real quick.

Also, if Boston saw that, they'd expect Pouliot to answer the bell for his answering of the bell after someone else done went and answered the bell.

Wow, was not aware that Pouliot packed such a punch. I hope he doesn't go this route though, waaaaay to skilled a dman to be mixing it up goon style.

Whoever hit Pouliot in the back of the head should never play organized hockey again. I like fighting. I'm a fan of a good scrap, but crap like that is completely reprehensible to me.

The Islanders will pick him up! Crazy Trevor Gillies isn't going to be around forever!

The Flyers and Islanders need to fill out their bottom 6. He'd be the perfect candidate for those teams. As for Pouliot, now that is how you respond, if you feel the need to respond. I like this kid already.

I thought this deserved a gif. Pouliot just looks so pissed after the cheap shot. Enjoy!

Steven Hodges was the guy that rabbit punched Pouliot. He is a Panthers draft pick.

To be clear, he's not being taught a whole lot by the organization, yet. He's still a junior player who primarily is coached by his junior team coaches. That's like suggesting Pouliot learned how to fight like that in the Pens organization.

I didn't see this mentioned anywhere else, but I thought folks might be interested to know that...

Pens 2012 first round pick defenseman Derrick Pouliot and the Portland Winterhawks will face Pens 2013 second round pick goaltender Tristan Jarry of the Edmonton Oil Kings in the WHL championship. First game is May 3.

Pouliot is 3rd in the league in playoff points with 4 goals and 22 assists in 14 games. Two teammates are ahead of him.

Jarry is 12-2 with a 1.86 GAA, 0.929 save percentage and two shutouts.

Judging by the stats both are doing very well.
