No worries. Hunwick will be out of cryofreeze for the playoffs.

I don't know do we want two minutes of frustration or just 8 seconds?

He made the right play, just didn't execute. Not all effective moves need to be flashy. Don't forget he's going against arguably the best goalie in the game.

So we beat icing and with no one pressing whoever was there first decides to flip the puck to the opposite corner turning it over for an easy clear.

It’s like this team stopped practicing at the deadline.

Spirit of the rule has to be a good goal because even if there wasnt contact he’s not saving that anyways.

Who do you pair him with though? Maatta? Maybe Schultz or Ruhwedel, which would force him to play defense? Oleksiak? I think they need to be put on separate pairings, but Dumoulin is the best choice.

Yeah. Price was on his back and sliding out of the crease before any contact with Geno. No interference there.

If Letang's pairing is going to be a mess anyway put Dumo where he can do some good.

Dumo has the speed to haul it back and cover for Letang when 58 gets caught in the offensive zone or makes an ill-advised pinch. I think that's the only reason for Dumo being paired with him because he's not a top pairing dman on about any team. Maata just doesn't have the speed. Schultz does, but he's better suited away from Letang. Ruhwedel is not good and his claim is he's better option than Hunwick right now and that's about it.

Yeah, Dumo is the best choice, even with his play being pretty bad of late.

The only reason Ruhwedel makes sense is to force Letang to play more conservative. Theory being that he takes Dumoulin for granted and takes more chances than he would with someone like Ruhwedel.

Price loser of 12 of his last 14, still thinks he's entitled.
