Pathetic crowd, these fans. I love this guy:

As I've said before, I'll start to take Caps fans seriously the day they start spending more time showing up to support their own world-class superstar and less time criticizing ours.
It's pathetic and beyond words that an all-everything player like Ovechkin doesn't garner more attention and more of a following in a market like that. I know Sweaty Uncle Teddy's money might make the situation better for him, but Ovie's a restricted free agent and I have to wonder if he's really having some second thoughts about signing a long-term extension to play in a city that doesn't support its team.
The Caps fanbase is so apathetic, even Atlanta fans look at the home crowds in Washington and go, "Damn!"

If Ovechkin was smart he wouldn't resign and get out of there ASAP. DC is no longer a hockey town, why should he rot there? If you're stuck in a non-hockey town at least go where there are nice beaches like L.A. - D.C. is an overpriced 6th grade museum.

"If they can prove that care was delayed or denied for hockey reasons, not medical ones, that might even be malpractice. If I were in the Caps' front office right now, I'd be on the phone to the AMA and whatever board regulates medicine in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Even the appearance of malpractice deserves a long, hard look in a case like this."
...just, wow.

I didn't bother reading anything from that board, but i'm assuming its something not to be taken seriously. I am convinced that that board is just one person writing out the most absurd "conversations" they can come up with.

This is even funnier than the notion that the league awarded Crosby assists when he wasn't on the ice.

Caps fans rate only slightly better than Coyotes fans.....half of them don't even watch the game in front of them...pathetic.....
so now, because the doc wasn't there that very second, that lost them the game....

Can they really believe, in this era of megazillion dollar malpractice suits, that a team doctor is stupid enough to delay any treatment of an athlete whose future earning potential is millions and millions and millions of dollars? That is so MF'ing stupid that it boggles the mind. Can those people really be that insanely idiotic to even contemplate this whole absurd idea???

Well, if they really are that pathetic, then they deserve what they are getting down there in terms of an owner and in terms of on-ice product.
If it's that bad, then AO should bolt as soon as he gets the chance.

I know exactly what you're talking about edog. I've been to a few games in Washington and I swear half the people in my section aren't even watching the game. I just love everytime the arena tries to get a lets go caps chant, it almost always turns into a lets go pens chant.

Actually I was at that game, and so was my friend....and I SWEAR I saw a fan standing in level "D" fire a small, pin-sized dart towards Ovechkin right before he went down with the injury......
Oh...those Caps' fans......upset about all those playoff losses in the 1990's when they seemed convinced they could win a playoff series against the Pens with Dmitri Khristich and Pat Peake on their top line.....
