Why? You didn't honestly think the Pens could get him, did you? They are in sell mode. With the team being sold, they will not make any trade that adds salary. Of that you can be sure. besides, he's a UFA at the end of the season and no way would he sign here. So the Pens, I am quite sure, never even inquired.
