We'll def see a different result tommorrow.
Yeah, but I'll bet you're rethinking your Pens in 5 prediction because Detroit is old and Osgood is terrible right?
Detroit is not the greatest team ever, but they are much better than most Pens fans are giving them credit for around here.

I'm not rethinking it no reason too. We basically beat ourselves. It wasn't like Detroit won 10-0.
Osgood isn't a very good goalie he didn't face many shots and the ones he did face he looked very beatable. The post saved him one time as well. The Penguins made Det look good.
If we don't beat them in 5 then we don't I think we will still beat them.

Nineteen shots on goal, however (with 12 of them coming in the 3rd period), tells me two things: first, the Wings are too good defensively, and two: the Pens simply threw in the the towel. When a team with this "talent", can't generate any offensive pressure, it's lights out.
Here's another reason: how about the Pens getting completely outhit, and by what some would consider a soft, European team. Again, another sign that the Pens gave up, and if they've given up, so should we. How does a guy like Datsyuk throw out more hits than anyone on the Pens?
One and done.
Thanks for the chuckle, I needed it.

if we lose game two, i'll check out autotrader to see if they have a subcompact bandwagon for trade. maybe we can get one for cheap from the Caps.

If the Pens lose game 2, we could get a Geo Metro Hatchback. 40mpg and 3 cylinders of hockey excitement. We could attach Fleury's yellow pads to the front to run over everyone who got off the Metrowagon.

The Pens made the Wings look good? really? Why not give credit to the other team and realize you might have underestimated them. Actually most people here seemed to have more reverence for the flyers when we played them.
We still have a chance in this series but I totally agree with Penscup that many here aren't appreciating just how good the wings are. We didnt look our best last night no question. Part of the reason for that however is that the Red Wings were all over us and played exceptionally well in all three zones. Tommorrow's game is a must!

The first two goals were dumb plays on our part. Yea Det capitalized on them no doubt but it wasn't like it was a massacre like some people make it sound.

I dont really disagree with that. Quality teams however find ways to capitalize on mistakes by the opposition. From the second period on though it was visibly and statistically one sided in Detroits favor.
The good news is it's only one game, the bad news is we need to win four of the next six. It's possible but I wouldnt say likely.

Give me a break! How could you say this series is over after 1 game.
Do you give up on everything in life this easy? Adversity tests a teams mettle.
I promise you the pens will play 100 better tomorrow. They had their chances in the first period on the powerplay.
Even if the wings play their game, i like the pens chances tomorrow.
If nashville gave the wings trouble the pens are way better then the preds.
After tomorrow this series is 1-1 going back to the burgh.
Current one when the pens win this series, please don't jump back on the bandwagon.

If I was selling cars, I'd want The Current One to walk into my showroom.
Me: $25,000 for this car.
Current One: OK, you got me. $25,000 it is!
Me: I got my boss to knock the true coat down to $500, too.

I'm glad I read this and now know its all over, now I won't have to spend any time watching the rest of the series
you apparently don't watch sports of any sort if after one game you are ready to concede a series

I am going to make an executive decision on this one....even though I've not been granted this authority by anyone other than myself...
The Current One, you are hereby banned from being a penguins fan any longer. If that one game is all it took to bring this out of you, then go find another team to watch. Seriously. I don't want you on my side.
