Naming a dog - WHITNEY has ARRIVED!

Postby pghteams on Thu Jul 03, 2008 8:19 pm

We are naming a large female dog and trying to come up with Pens related names.

Any thoughts. Has to sound somewhat feminine.

Thanks!

First I want to thank everyone for the great name suggestions, but we went with the first one which was submitted by bhaw.

And since some of the posters asked for photos here they are. She is 7 1/2 weeks in the photo and was born on June 19th.

But in all seriousness,

my friend named his dog Sidney.

And that could be feminine.

You beat me. "Somewhat feminine". He's also a large female dog, at least in our eyes.

Max or Jordan works too but Whitney would be perfect in so many ways

I like Max as well, but we have an Aunt Maxine and it would not go over well.

Well, this isn't a dog, but we just got a new Suburban, and it has a navigation system in it, and we named its voice Sidney....and it's a woman. So, it's cool, haha.

Evgeni Meowkin barely beat out Mario LeMewwww... :)

Being we're not in Pitt, the Vets are very confused by it all.

I once worked with a hot waitress named Sam. Short for Samantha. I was too young to buy here a drink at the time.

But if you wait until Shero lands Lasse Pirjeta to round out the frowards, you couls use that classic name.

That is some truly original stuff -- at least from my point of view. I might steal those ideas some day.
