About the arrows pointing out what position one should be in I think that's very pedagogical and good, but I already suspect there'll be some drawbacks. For example, if a defenseman really gets a good opportunity to cherry pick: Say the opposing team goes too deep with all five players when your center has the puck in the corner. The wingers are tangled up so a defenseman darts away and catches the center's dump for the breakaway. Will the seconds that pass before he reach the puck count against the automatic measuring of that players positioning? I fear that'll be the case.

Those are not common situations though, hehe, I'm really nitpicking with too much time thinking about this game now That really shouldn't be a problem if that D-man is in position 90% of his other time on the ice. Jesus, I mean come on, did I just worry about that detail?

I can only second what Jesse said about being excited over the game. And I don't even have an xbox yet Either way Ã￾'m looking forward to updates here on how you guys are doing

If I get an xbox and the distance doesn't result in lagging (I have a great connection) I'd love to join though.

Don't worry about the lag. I played Call of Duty the other day with 4 guys in France and it was as if they were right next to me.

If I had to guess I would say no. Maybe if both of you had separate Live accounts, but it is still not very likely.

hm, so i found out yesterday that my school's internet restricts who i can play online...my NAT settings are at moderate, and they need to be open, therefore I can play anyone in a random, quick match, but if a friend invites me to a game, it doesn't work...

anyway, does anyone know if that will restrict me from getting into games in this mode? I would be uber-upset if it does.

Oh yeah, I remember I couldn't get online at Duquesne freshman year. Well no games online that is. But LAN play rocked the world anyway.

Team logo's will most likely be to NHL logos and a couple dozen stock EA made logos. Being that this is a Penguins Fan team, I say we shoot for just using the Penguins logo and jerseys. We could change up the jersey striping coloring a bit if we choose, but my vote goes towards keeping it as close to stock Penguins as much as possible as to avoid conflicts amongst the team members.

Using Penguin logos and colors will also remove some of the ambiguity of the team being named Team LGP. To hell with anybody that wants an explanation.

But if I'm wrong about the logo thing, I'll create a couple logo concepts we can choose from. As a professional graphic designer, I assure you it won't be something made using MS Paint.

As far as captains and assistants go, the game isn't even out yet. So I think we can chill in that regard. Naturally everybody wants a C or an A. If possible, I don't think any captains should be assigned until a good number of games are played. Captains and assistants will step forward based on their performance.
