Training Camp Dates?

Postby Number Nine on Mon Aug 25, 2008 10:53 am

First off, I did search the forum, so I apologize if I missed it.

Have camp dates been released? I heard something about it starting September 16th. Any ideas, I'm trying to put in for some vacation time so I can go.

Players report on the 16th, on-ice practices begin the 17th...as far as I know, not official "open" practices have been announced as of yet.

I do recall reading training camp would be at the Mellon Arena.

*I also heard Coach Therrien mention the thing in Hamilton or some other part of Ontario, with the pens rookies having a tournament with
other rookies... ???

I'm counting on some open practice time 9/17 & 9/18. Would be the end of an era if they didn't let the fans in for a session or two.

When the full schedule does come out me and Net will be planning some time off work. :) I still have a little over a week left to use.

Judy, is that when Net will return from his LGP sabbatical? His contributions are missed.

They usually announce the open practice schedule about a week to a week and a half before the players report. I don't know why practices wouldn't at least be open on the 17th and 18th...I'm also counting on it. It shouldn't be too crowded, since it's a Wednesday and Thursday, and the kids are in school.

I think we should invite Mussels Marinara...

He's in the best shape of his life right now. :D

Anybody here follow Mutts besides me?

I don't follow it, but I do know about it. An old co-worker left me a comic strip one day because our cat's name is Mooch.

Yeah, I remember that. Your Mooch looks just like my Darius - who is also a mooch!

Mutts has a special place in my heart because I really like the artist. He's a really cool guy & he loves hockey - can't go too far wrong there!
