Some of the veteran posters here...remember when RJ had the "guess the opening night roster" contest? Those were the days when nearly everyone invited to camp had a good shot at making the roster, and the only locks were Mario, Kovy and Straka.
I certainly wouldn't trade the roster we have now for the days the roster was a crapshoot, but those contests were kinda fun

Remember when there used to be intellegent hockey discussions here and not just wanna be comics trying to one up each other with sarcasm? I don't either.....

You're killing me with your humour. This has always been the slowest time of the year prior to camp, post draft.

No one even uses sarcasm on this board.

I miss LGP. What this board has turned into is... well, you're all right; it's not the same.

I've tried to cut back; it really isn't a pretty trait.
I read elements of sarcasm here; varies in degrees.
With it being 8/25 there is precious little hockey news to discuss.
IF only Netwolf would return~ that would be an occassion.

You're killing me with your anti-American spelling practices. And yes, there's just not enough on the internet these days to keep me adequately entertained.

I feel like in the offseason my sarcasm has shifted more in the direction of simple stupidity. Thats about right for the offseason though, i'd say.

Bob, I think we need to have a beer and wait for the season to start. Then things will pick up here.

Haha. I, unfortunately, had a Lasse Pirjeta on the roster. The worst part about that is that it was right. I'm glad he's gone too.

What RJ should do now is have a "who will NOT be on the opening night roster" contest. I say Pesonen and Whitney (duh).
