Center Ice in Philly

Postby steelcity8687 on Tue Sep 23, 2008 9:18 am

Does anybody live in Philly and get the Center Ice package on Comcast.

Luckily the Pens were on national or local TV quite often last year. But I think I wanna go for the package this year.

Are there any quirks I should know with blackouts or anything like that? Does it vary depending on where you are and whether or not the Goons are playing at the same time? Any advice is appreciated.

all pens-flyers games are on CSN (or rarely CN8 if there's a sixers clash).
all other pens games are either on nhl network, center ice, versus, or NBC.

so get the package, you'll be able to see all 82 games.

I have center ice through DirecTV and miss all the Flyers Pens games. I hate Comcast since they will share every CSN signal except the local one with DirecTV.

But I need DirecTV to see the Steelers too.

Get Center Ice, you won't be disappointed. The only problem I had (with Comcast) is that they don't show any Center Ice games in HD, at least where I live - so I went with satellite instead.

Is this the price for CI for everyone?

Save $10 if you order before October 16th!
Early Bird Package: $159 or 3 payments of $53
Regular Season Package: $169 or 3 payments of $56.34

I have never had center ice, is $159 worth it?

I think it has gone up the past few years. I get the CI package and have comcast. Some of the feeds are terrible on my screen. I'm just grateful I get to watch the Pens. I only miss a few games all season.

The Penguin NHL network games were blacked out in philly last year. They were not pens-flyers game and were still blacked out. I was none too pleased.

I thought the price last year was 149, so it went up by 10 bucks. I live in South Carolina, so I need to get NHL Centerice. I just cannot wait for hockey season. Does anyone know when the NHL Network schedule is coming out?
