Dupuis - Crosby - Satan
Staal - Malkin - Sykora
Fedotenko - Talbot - Thomas
Pessonen - Cooke - Goddard

Extra: Taffe, Kennedy

Use Pessonen as PP specialist. Pick up a odd shift once in a while.

Why do so many people want Cooke on the 4th line? He is actually an offensive weapon. He's not Jarkko Ruutu.

Agreed on the forwards...Scuderi should be healthy enough to be in the top 6, if not then I think they would keep up Richmond...

I'm surprised so many of you for your lines have Dupuis with Crosby.

Don't you think he hit his ceiling? I put gold helmet there atleast 20 games for a sink or swim kind of measure.

I'm not saying any of you are wrong for putting him there as that was the purpose of the thread, but it does really surprise me that so many of you did.

Not too many put Pessonen, Staal, or Fedo on that line with Crosby and Satan.

Interesting.

The whole camp, we've seen Dupuis on Sid's LW. Why play fantasy land when you know it's going to happen? At least to start out the season.

I started on this, and after 10 minutes I realized how silly it is.

MT will CHANGE IT UP regardless (success or failure.)

What I am sure about is that there are some combo's of players that will stay together.

Crosby - Satan
Malkin - Sykora
Taffe - Godard (4th line staples)

The potential loss of Gonchar makes it really hard to say about how the defence will be. Plus, Scuds is likely weeks away?

20 games is a long experiment.

KS,

I understand Dupuis has been there. The point of this was to know what lines you would make based on your very own thinking cap. Not what has been done in camp so far. I just found it suprising that more people didn't want to see how well that line would do with others in that slot.

i think the opening night forward lineups are probably almost set in stone at this point (dupuis-sid-satan, staal-malkin-sykora, cooke-talbot-fedo, kennedy-taffe-goddard)

more interesting would be what the power play will look like without gonchar. will they use the 5 forward unit?

I don't think it makes much sense to give the man with the golden hat 20 games just to prove himself, when we can get a decent look at him in the AHL without costing 1/4 of a season's worth of man-games on Crosby's wing.
