I don't know, he played some great games in the Ottawa series in 2007.

Gee, did we really need ANOTHER Staal thread?

Your poll should really ask "How many Staal threads will be created tonight?"

I loved the Flyers game, the Toronto hat trick game & this game. He's a beast.

I think I might have to pick this game, just because he stunned Osgood like woah.

Tonight, hands down. I can't argue with 4 points against the team that just beat you for the Cup -- in their arena no less.

I went with the Flyers game, just because it was in the playoffs and it was against Philly. It was a tough pick though...tonight was pretty sweet.

Even if it wasn't "last" night, it's this past game.

He willed the Pens to victory.

[and 4 points is kind of a solid showing].

A hat trick in one period is decent I would say...haha. I think the results might be swayed due to recent events, perhaps?

I went with the Philly game, for the emotion of it. This was a phenomenal game for him though, especially because it was Datsyuk that he picked clean for the winner.

I went with the Detroit game, but not because it was the most recent.. They didn't win the Philly game and in while the Toronto game was good, he was playing with Malkin then. Plus, he scored a career-best 4 points in this game.

Tonight, he was centering his own line and while he had support from his wingers, I felt he was more assertive in this one, more responsible for his own success. The steal on Datsyuk that led to the winner was a tremendous play, even more so considering the guy he stole it from.

Also, he accomplished what he did in the Toronto game against the likes of Bryan McCabe and Andrew Raycroft. Much more impressive to do it against Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Lidstrom, and company.

Plus, in the Leafs game, they blew a lead and his scoring was spread out. Still big on his part, but in tonight's game, he controlled the game throughout the comeback, and created the winner. Much more vital to this win than that one.

One of the few things I dislike about this board -- way too many perfect people. It's last night somewhere in the world. Maybe the guy lives in Nova Scotia. Can't we just have a conversation without all the nitpicking?

Definitely "last night's" game. Flyers game close second.

Seeing as he's 20, I hope his greatest game has yet to come.

Yeah, but really someone could have a hall of fame career and have a game like tonight's as his best ever.

It was his best period-plus-OT and production. I thought he struggled for most of the first 2 with puck control and was chasing too much (like most of his teammates, to be fair).

Nice to know the Jordan Staal On-Switch still works.

Detroit was his best game because of the severity of the game and the way they came back...
