Pens v. Caps March 8th

Postby opie22002 on Fri Nov 14, 2008 5:12 pm

I'm thinking about going to my first out of town game this weekend in Washington D.C. Anybody have any information about the seating at the arena? Is the upper concourse a decent seat (the 400 sections)?

Also, do you have any other thoughts on tips for watching the Pens on the road?

Opie,

I have watched the pens in many road venues (carolina, philly, dc, new york and boston).

You will find wherever you go you will find plenty of pens fans. The pens travel well and have the pens fans in hockey! :)

As for dc any seat is fine. The 400 level seats are high but nothing is obstructed.

I hope you make down to dc. You will like it.

Enjoy

I think me and a couple friends are going to the 2/22 (I think) game. I've never been to a sporting event outside of PGH. From what I see on TV, it seems as though the only difference will be location. :)

Visitors’ shooting end is the one that includes sections 420/421, etc. I’d avoid the last few rows of the mezzanine ends, but otherwise there’s really not a bad seat.

So of the places you've been on the road, which was your favorite venue?

they have a wonderful arena. like someone said, theres no obstruction in the 400 level. i went to the backstrom own goal last year, and will be at the march 8 game as well. i think im sitting in like 425, deadcenter and the end where the pens shoot twice woo woo!

Do you have tickets for the DC games already ?? The Caps aren't selling individual tickets for both Pens games in DC....
