The Pens, by the way, are interested in Brendan Shanahan and just put Paul Bissonette on waivers to clear up a roster spot in case they want to sign him.

His rationale doesn't make too much sense, they only have 21 players on the roster right now, but here nonetheless....

No offense to Jim Matheson, but people that follow the team more closely than he does say the Pens aren't interested and never have been. I'm not saying Shanahan isn't coming here, but until it actually happens I'll go with the people that cover the team as opposed to someone that covers another team halfway across the country.

Besides, once Bissonette's salary is off the cap at NHL Numbers and NHLscap, they'll have roughly $1-1.2M in cap space. Shero doesn't seem to be the type that would add an aging forward at the cost of eating up most (if not all) of that space, and handcuffing himself down the road in the process.

Some joke posted another thread called "Bissonnette claimed". Then inside it said "that he was the best warm-up player in the league."

This isn't really anything big. Scouts attend games for different teams all the time. It's almost protocol.

Remember when scouts for the Pens were at some Blue Jackets' games last year, and all of a sudden the Pens were going to be making a trade with Columbus or something.
