Blue out: Im gonna say it since no one else will

Postby E 14 Hornblower on Sun Nov 16, 2008 6:30 pm

I was thinking it would be pretty cool to have a blue out. Maybe for the game against Detroit in February in front of the national tv audience. Was just thinking of this last night at the game.

Meant to say before I know alot of pple on here dont like them but thats fine cuz I really think it would be pretty cool cuz of the uniqe color. Plus wasnt it the players that were calling for the white outs last yr.

I didn't like the whiteout, but went along with it, I will not do the same with a "blue out".

I'm all for the crowd doing something for the February Detroit game. Whiteout, Baby Blue Blizzard, Gold Rush, whatever.

That's funny, I was gonna start a thread about the exact same thing this morning. Do it!

It will probably be more expensive to have blue colored shirts made rather than white ones. Oh wait, they will just charge an extra 3 bucks a ticket, no one will notice anyway.

I like the idea. Why not? It is the opposite of Detroits Red and its a bad ass uniform. DO WORK. Pink, way back in the day, was the color for men.

Good idea, creative, but I say no. The teams colors are black and gold (tan for netwolf).

I like the blue to be used sparingly, and I would like fans to wear it sparingly too. Something just doesn't sit well with me when they're wearing black and you see patches of blue all over the crowd. I thought it looked great on Saturday to see so many people wearing blue, but I don't want it to be too common of an occurrence.

I think it was alot of people knowing they where wearing the third jersey so they wore it, but i don't mind it either way, if people are buying the third jresey it means more revenue for the team and means we can spend to the cap every year without broke again.

I live in NJ and work in NYC and went to the NHL store the day after our third came out and the NHL store was sold out of Crosby Blue jerseys when i got there, that is a good thing
