this is all a cover to show that he didn't just skip the ASG.

But he doesn't need a cover; he showed up for All-Star game. :?

One has to wonder why he was playing on it in the 2 games before the All-Star game as well.

i just saw the rule that if you miss the all star game you either had to sit out the game before it or the game after it. i'm assuming that only means if you "skip" the game and it's different for sid since he was injured, and didn't just say "i don't wanna go." maybe he was trying to tough it out and now realizes a couple more days of rest will make things better.

Any player that was voted in and didn't participate at least had to attend the event. Regardless of the reason they didn't play, the had to be there.

No it's not. If Crosby could of played in the All-Star game he would of. Obviously he could of, but not without risking further injury. He thought it best to rest for 5 days so he'd be as ready as possible for Pens games.

He said after practice yesterday that it was still hurting a little bit, and that he'd see today and tommorrow how it felt.

Sid & lots of familiar faces returning:
Forwards Max Talbot and Pascal Dupuis also practiced today and are expected to play tomorrow. Defenseman Rob Scuderi, who missed yesterday's practice because of illness, participated in today's workout and said he should be able to play against New York.

Hopefully Brooks O is next and soon. :)
