Hatcher with a wide open net and can't find the puck between his feet.
This is going to be the best Flyer's defense unless they move Kapanen and Nedved to a team desperate for some scoring help who have a surplus of defensemen.

I'm surprised that the Flyers haven't tried fighting any of the Pens yet.
Are you sure this is the Flyers we're playing?

Center is a more difficult position. He's an OK center on a bad team but a bad center on an OK team. I wouldn't mind seeing Staal get some time between Malone and Recchi if Malkin is going to be out longer than another 2 weeks.
He is not an NHL center. That's not negative is it?

Heck no considering how deep we are up the middle, but if he can play center in a pinch, that's a commodity.

That's what I'm saying... Gonchar has been staying out the whole power play, regardless of whether it was first or second unit playing. If it makes you feel better, I rewound the HD DVR... it was still Gonchar. 8)

Flyers know that we'll kick their tushies in if they go man to man, so they're resorting to cheap shots.

He's leading the team in +/- with Melichar right now at +3... does that count?

I think it also has to do with the Ruutu factor that is they continue to cheap shot us and go too far that Ruutu will destroy Gagne on a clean hit.

If Staal keeps this up I'm all for a limited scoring line of Leclair, Staal and Ouellet and then we have Moore, Ruutu and Thorburn as a very solid checking line. Staal was one of our better PK'rs and everytime he's been on the ice he has caused a turnover.

Marc-Andre wore out their entire team over the 1st 2 periods. he almost single handedly demoralized their entire team. #1 star by far.
Pens are having an easy time of it in the 3rd, this is just beutiful, to me it's like _whao hot blond in row 8 -
anyways great game!

I agree. He's been a little unsure with the puck at times, but I think that will improve quickly with experience. He's done a whole heck of a lot right in this game, though.

MAF looked absolutely exhausted after the final horn. That's the most deserved Pens SO I've seen in a long, long time.
