Kicksave, your life is longer than you think, and there will be plenty of games in your future (least by my estimation). I been there done that missing months of hockey season under water, it's still the same game when you get back...

Nice observation. I think they managed this accomplishment maybe twice last year.

Whether the PENS make the p-layoffs or not, this season is going to be an enjoyable one to watch. Faster, stronger, and a little more talent. THE PK is greatly improved. The D still needs work. 40 SOG is not good. MAF showed what his potential is. I think with a full season under his belt, and not the up down crap because of money reasons he can develop into a top notch netminder. I hope this squelches the trade MAF rumors. We are above .500

Malone just isn't a center and when Malkin gets back I'm not sure what will happen to him. Recchi can move to LW and Ouellete could move up. Or keep LeClair over Malone on the LW or move STaal up. Malone is not a core player anymore on this team.

I"m kinda wondering, why send him back. He saw a ton of Ice time, If he steadily progresses, wouldn't Juniors be a step back.

What a game. The Flower stood on his head the whole game. Our defense played great. Great penalty killing by everybody, especially during Armstrong's 4 minute penalty. We pressured them during all facets of the game eventhough we got out shot 3 to 1. I am really impressed with this team right now. Hopefully we can keep it up throughout the season.

I am leaning more towards the West Point experiance but I promise Therrian will not allow them to go soft. Oh no.

If MAF keep this up, he'll be able to come close to filling Dennis Herron's skates!

I would'nt say that, but he is definately getting some invaluable experiance right now and I have to say that he is just tremendous defensively. Maybe not a hitter or a shot blocker but he is so aware and that reach is engulfing.

We lost the faceoff battle, but we won a lot more of the important faceoffs than we have over the last few years.

That is a very promising stat. This team just never stops forechecking.
