Maybe a package shipping Gill far far away :)

I've never once been to the site and I even know that e5 = the trade having been done.

I didn't see it after I saw the trade posted here and I did look.

Breaking news by Eklund ten minutes after the trade was announced: Pens and Ducks may be talking, say my sources (voices in my head).

If they surfed over to LGP to read up on Whitney, they are probably VERY unhappy right now.

Kunitz has 3 PP points this season. Which is actually a good thing imo, he's not a PP suck, but I don't see him on the top PP for the Pens.

I'll tell you one thing I am sure of, this deal NEVER goes down if Burke were still in Anaheim. He would absolutely have a coronary watching Whitney play so small.

He had 7 ppg's last year and 11 the year before...pens don't have anyone else to play the front of the net on the power play...He'll get a good look...He's getting paid like a top 2 line winger...

I just don't see it. The PP will be Gonchar/Letang, Malkin-Crosby-Sykora. Staal was there last night because there was no Crosby.

Anyone here got a good beat on Kunitz? I know he's been playing well recently. What kind of forward is he?

Some Ducks referring to Tangradi as the the best player right now in the OHL behind Tavares. Is this true? If so, I'm liking this deal more and more....

I actually like this trade. Hate to see Kunitz go when he's been playing so well lately, but Whitney can put up some big numbers when healthy and should be a huge addition to the power play and a good replacement for when Pronger goes.

From the Ducks Board... I wonder if this guy knows Whitney can only score back-door...

I sure know one thing. Kunitz certainly gets into alot of fights and scrums.

I type in his name on youtube and this comes up. Long list of scraps

Whitney's value was much lower than I thought. Kunitz blows. He may be the Pens best ES wing, but that is more an indication of the Pens not having any good ES wings. He tries hards and is a decent skater, but is a borderline top 6 type wing. He was on waivers a few seasons ago and absolutely sucks during the playoffs. He is not a top goal scorer at all and had his best season as the 3rd wheel on the Selanne/MacDonald line. He isn't even a proven #2 guy on a line and he has declined a bit the past few seasons.

Tangradi was invisible at the WJC and is posting his OHL stats as a 20 year old.

This is a classic example of selling a player at his lowest value. Not a good move IMO.

Very Nice!

I think the deal pans out equal for both teams. A known commodity for each team (Kunitz, Whitney's past), and a great upside for the future (Tangradi, Whitney's potential). Pretty logical trade.

In the end, I think the Pens win.
