I have a feeling Sid's going to get one soon...not sure...the puck is following him around a lot tonight and he's just not shooting it enough.
"I got a hunch he's due..."

Its like making fun of Ryan Whitney, the cool thing to do.
Fun? No. But hey, its a good night for Whit, after all Rex had more turnovers
so far

i think they have benched Whitney and I'm not surprised.

Moore is absolutely the best Pens player tonight.

Also, whoever called Joe Melichar a bad skater, I hope you were watching the recovery he made when he pinched into the play and got caught.
Penguins energy is there, so is the work ethic. Sidney Crosby is right in the cusp, if he would just shoot the puck he'd be doing himself a lot of good.
yeah he was very graceful carrying the play on the power play in the first too. maybe they should just hand him the Norris now.
I didn't nominate him for the Norris. I said he made a nice play and has showed good wheels lately.
Calm yourself down.

Agreed...our energy line has been absolutely relentless tonight. And dare I say it, but Joey Melichar is actually turning into a capable NHL defenseman. He's been solid all year, but tonight, he's got a burst of speed I've never seen from him. Someone check and make sure he hasn't been in contact with Kenny Rogers over the last couple of days.

He's leading the team in ice time tonight. Besides, with Eaton out, they're down to 5 D. They couldn't afford to bench him if they wanted to.

Welch is right up there too, he's had some great keeps at the point, gets his shots on net, making big hits and breaking up passes.

I'm cool. I just get the sense that maybe I should be taking crazy pills when someone hints that Melichar is a great skater.
BTW I loved that play LeClair just made. He backed mcClaren into his own net, effectively eliminating him from the action.

The Pens are doing a good job of hanging with a very good team in San Jose. Right now, the big difference is the inability of the Pens to cash in at least once on all of those PP chances they had in the first, including 3 minutes of major penalty time.

I'll take credit for that coaching change.

Do you have Therrien's direct line or something?

yeah especially when Thorton peed on him before setting up their 3rd goal. he was outsmarted and out muscled. he is very much a rookie right now but still very high potential.

I look for Welch to really develope this year. He has shutdown defenseman type capabilities.

You're right. If Joe Thorton beats you, you must really suck.

Good effort, they were due to lose a road game. If they continue to play with this effort, we will be fine...

Hopefully Eaton isn't hurt badly, and the Pens rebound against the Ducks.

The Sharks are really good. Toskala is really, really good. The Pens are still good though.

By your logic if he beats you, you are "solid".
