That or maybe he's a good coach who realized quickly tonight that Thorburn is no more than a third-line forward who was horribly miscast as a top-line player.

Recchi's been playing good hockey for the last six or so games. The points may not be coming for him as much, but he's been very strong on his skates, creating some offensive opportunities and some space for the other forwards.

Would you rather he get 20 minutes a game?

He just needs one to get it rolling. He plays hard during scorless streaks, I always liked that about Recchi.

Pens need to quit pissing around with the puck and just get some shots on net with some bodies in front. Two of Ekman's goals were scored that way.

That and the NHL needs to figure out what style of play they want...there seems to be a lot of clutching, grabbing, and whatnot the past three games, especially on Malkin and Crosby. A lot of sticks flapping around.

Ugly hockey.

Malkin looks really out of it tonight. He seems sluggish and keeps overskating the puck when he does get going.
