Mark Madden was actually close when he guessed "Steely McGayerson"

Mascots are never entertaining or funny. I hope the fans abuse him in some form.

This is a horrible idea and they need to get rid of him.

I'm with you. I am now embarassed to be a Steeler fan. That was the thing I loved most about the Steelers, they didn't need a mascot or cheerleaders, it was just FOOTBALL. And now they give this gay name to the mascot. I have a buddy from Cleveland. I can't believe he didn't call me at 5:01 to make fun of me.

this is a freaking outrage. the steelers went from super dignified to the lowest common denominator. this is by far the worst decision the stillers have made since jermaine stephens. yinzerman should have been the name if they were going to make it a joke.

Wouldn't it be more more dignified if they brought back the Terrible Towel mascot from the 80's? It came to my school and scolded us for booing Mark Malone. Can you imagine a seven foot Twinkee telling you that you're wrong?!!
