The Magnificent One on youtube

Postby jkorber75 on Fri Mar 07, 2008 5:55 am

I just added the excellent documentary on Lemieux called "The Magnificent One" which was done in 1994.
By far the best doc on Lemieux i've seen. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.

I'm grateful for this.

I saw this documentary when it originally aired on KDKA, and I bought the VHS tape at Giant Eagle. Must've watched it twenty times or more within a couple years.

Haven't seen it in a long while.

Nice, and thanks. Could you upload this as 1 file on a site like sendspace.com in whatever original format the file is in?

I literally dusted off an old VHS of this a couple weekends ago.

It whetted my appetite for some spring-time hockey. Nothing like it.

I always wished they would put "One From The Heart" and "Against the Odds" on DVD...I have them on VHS, but the VCR is buried in storage somewhere. Surely they could do these and remaster them to make them even better.

i'll probably get around to posting a dvd torrent of this on mininova or something. i'll post the link once that happens.
i taped this off of the kdka broadcast in 94. i also got the vhs from giant eagle later on, but the picture & sound quality of that video, for whatever reason, was very poor.
has anyone seen a more comprehensive documentary on lemieux than this?
that "fearless" one on OLN a couple years ago was disappointing. mario deserves more than that.
i'll also be posting the 92-93 highlight film "portrait of courage" to youtube soon. "one from the heart" & "against all odds" are already up there.
i would post the 93-94 highlight film that i have, but it really really sucks.
