Like how McDavid just gets to whack Chad in the face with his stick

Either I’m on a huge delay or this just happened again.

Part of it is that McDavid has played over 20 minutes already with 9 minutes left. Can’t match up all the time.

I would prefer they just don’t call anything on anyone.

You would think it’s HNIC with these non calls.

So I've only been able to watch some of the game, and had to FFWD through a lot of it, but, one big thing I have noticed is.....these 4 lines all seem to work.

Crosby has been solid all season, and works well with both Rust and Guentzel.
The 4th line with ZAR and Wilson has been pretty good from what I have seen.
The 3rd line with Blueger and Hornqvist on either side of McCann has looked good.
2nd line, I haven't noticed too much.

Am I wrong? From not seeing the whole game in real time, is there something I have missed, or this a fair assessment?

If it is, I would figure out how to fit Kessel, Bjugstad, and Malkin on one line, and stick Pearson on the bench with Simon and roll with these 4 lines for a while. Sullivan needs to start building some consistency, and these look the closest to it IMO, even if it is only one game.

If we miss the playoffs because two of Montreal, buffalo or Carolina get more points than us then fire everyone.

The puck seems to keep finding Cullen, if it was anyone else they'd have 2 goals tonight.

Bleuger has been our best bottom 6 player by far. It's a shame it took half the season to call him up.

Kessel just doesn't look right. Hes putting out more effort but not getting shots on net. He just doesn't look dangerous.

You know the Oilers are going to get another power play before this is done.

As the minutes tick away, I’m not sure how Rust got that penalty with what the Oilers have done.

Hopefully ZAR, Blueger and McCann are the youth movement like we had in previous cups.

You're assessment is accurate. Kessel is a mess lately and Pearson is rather invisible.

They're certainly showing some nice energy and skill that's taken me by surprise. Hopefully it'll fire up Kessel and Malkin soon too...

Chiarelli should never work in hockey again. What an embarrassment he built and left there. But people will say he won a Cup in Boston so he knows what he’s doing and knows more than you! The guy is a joke.

I feel so bad for McDavid, and they can’t fix this overnight. It’s gonna be a process. They should clean house from top to bottom, and if they lift the interim title for Gretzky, that’s a joke too. He was one of Chiarelli’s guys in Boston!

I’m really starting to like McCann. Blueger. Who knew? Oh many did.
