It's been a tough year for Whitney. I think he still has potential of course, but he has recieved a hard introduction to the NHL. I was hoping to see more from him, but hopefully its coming.

Whitney needs to pass and break out like he did after his initial call up and he needs to get his shot on the net more. Both are things he has full control over to improve.

I think a big factor people tend to forget is that Whitney struggled in his first year in WBS as well...then last season he was amazing. Maybe it's a coincidence that his first NHL seaosn resembles his first AHL season. Maybe it's not. But, if it is, look out, because he could put together a sick season next year.
