I think the village self policing -- like last time when the vig shot Malkamaniac as a mercy kill -- is the best way to do it. Just my two cents.

The village wakes up to find more slime winding its way through the village. And it's not just the "special sauce" from McDonalds. The alpha slug has gone out and recruited yet another BRAIN SLUG!!!
